Stomach Cancer Advocacy Day Scholarships

Debbie’s Dream Foundation is dedicated to making sure that as many people as possible can participate in Advocacy Day. We want every survivor, caregiver, and family member who is passionate about making their voice heard to have the opportunity to join us in Washington, D.C.

What Scholarships Cover

Scholarships help offset travel and lodging expenses for advocates attending Advocacy Day. Awards vary depending on need, availability of funds, and the number of applicants.

How to Apply

Applying is simple! When you complete your Advocacy Day registration form, you will have the option to check a box indicating your interest in a scholarship. After registration, our team will follow up with additional details and next steps.

Important Notes

  • For 2026, scholarships are limited and will be awarded according to specific criteria, including:
    • Financial need
    • Top priority will be given to survivors
    • Geographical diversity
    • Scholarship awardees MUST commit to completing specific advocacy tasks leading up to and following the Hill Day, including, but not limited to following up with the offices that they meet with on a regular basis via email.  We anticipate that these activities will require approximately 1 hour per week from February thru May.
  • Recipients will be notified well in advance of the event.
  • Please note that scholarships are limited to the individual applicant and cannot be extended to an additional person, unless the applicant requires an additional person to attend (e.g., in the case of a survivor in a wheelchair who requires a caregiver to attend with them).
