In recognition of Women’s History Month and the global movement surrounding International Women’s Day, Debbie’s Dream Foundation: Curing Stomach Cancer is proud to spotlight women whose leadership is shaping the future of stomach cancer research, treatment, and advocacy.
Throughout March, our CEO, Amanda Pullinger, hosts a series of conversations with more than twenty remarkable women working across the stomach cancer and gastrointestinal oncology ecosystem. Representing 10 countries across the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Asia, these leaders include physicians, researchers, pharmaceutical innovators, and advocates who are driving progress in one of the world’s most challenging cancers.
Each interview explores the personal journeys that led these women into oncology, the challenges that remain in diagnosing and treating gastric cancer, and the breakthroughs transforming patient care, from advances in precision medicine and immunotherapy to early detection strategies and global collaboration.
This year’s International Women’s Day theme, “Give to Gain,” is reflected throughout the series. The participants share how mentorship, scientific collaboration, and a deep commitment to patients have shaped their careers, and how giving knowledge, leadership, and opportunity to others ultimately creates lasting gains for the entire field.
Together, these voices represent a powerful global community working toward a common goal: improving outcomes and ultimately finding a cure for stomach cancer.
We invite you to swipe and watch here or on our YouTube channel, learn from, and share these inspiring conversations throughout the month.
