8.15.2025 – DDF Leadership Update and Exciting Plans Ahead

Hello to our supportive DDF community,

As Board President for Debbie’s Dream Foundation (DDF), I wanted to share with you some important updates and highlights of our work and future plans that continue with focus, urgency and purpose.

Leadership Transition

First, I wanted to be sure you heard the news that DDF will be hiring a new CEO, replacing Andrea Eidelman. We thank Andrea for all of her leadership and contributions to our mission over the past eight years and wish her the best in her future endeavors. The Board will be initiating a nationwide search for our next CEO, and I will keep you updated on the progress of these efforts. In the interim, I will continue to serve in a leadership capacity alongside our long-time dedicated Board and staff members.

Highlights/Future Plans

Our relentless work on behalf of stomach cancer patients, caregivers, families, and the research community will not stop during this transition period. Some highlights of our ongoing work and future plans are:

  • We have partnered with our volunteers to conduct a record number of awareness walks across the country this year.
  • We have partnered with Savor Health to launch the Ina AI tool (monitored by nurses) to support patients and caregivers regarding important nutritional needs.
  • We are continuing our top-tier patient education symposiums with leading medical and scientific experts on diverse topic areas this year.
  • We will be hosting an international conference in Japan this November.
  • We will be continuing our longstanding advocacy efforts with our 14th Annual Stomach Cancer Capitol Hill Advocacy Day on February 23-24, 2026, in Washington, DC, with registration opening soon.

This is all possible thanks to our strong partnerships with all of you. On behalf of all of our Board and staff members, thank you your support and commitment to helping DDF to raise awareness, fund and advocate for research, and provide education, support and hope to those affected by stomach cancer. We will continue to work nonstop toward our ultimate goal of making the cure for stomach cancer a reality. Please direct any questions to admin@debbiesdream.org.

Yours in purpose and progress,
