Susan H. Reid
1966-2015
Susan was born on January 2nd, 1966 in South Korea and was a mother of three.
Susan was an amazing, strong, positive-minded, devoted and faithful Christian servant, and mother with an endlessly loving heart that stayed with her until the very end. The testament of which can be seen through the lives of her children, family, and friends. Despite her 6- year fight with cancer, she never ceased taking care of all those she loved, most of whom never heard her complain.
Susan is survived by her husband, Keith Reid; her two sons, Justin and Robert Reid; her daughter, Chloe Reid; her mother, Kwang Cha Haines; her sister, Christine Haines; and her mother-in-law Noval Reid.
Susan was a positive and caring woman who was endlessly devoted to her children's education, despite the physical and financial limitations imposed by a cancer diagnosis. When Susan’s children were applying to college, there were limited local scholarship opportunities for students affected by cancer. The Susan H. Reid Scholarship will help fill this gap while providing financial support to Cumberland County students with similar academic ambitions of both Susan and her family.
