6th Annual DDF Capitol Hill Advocacy Day

32 advocates from 15 different states attended our 6th Annual Stomach Cancer Capitol Hill Advocacy Day. Advocates attended over 100 meetings on the hill to fight for stomach cancer research funding. They urged legislators to support the fight for a cure and informed them how important it is for stomach cancer to again be included in the Department of Defense’s Peer Reviewed Cancer Research Program (PRCRP) each year. DDF honored Congressional Champions Senator Roy Blunt and Senator Sherrod Brown for their support for DDF’s mission. DDF also presented its 3rd Annual Volunteer of the Year Award to Ohio Chapter Founders Angela and Paul Bosela and held a meeting the day prior to provide information, support, education, and training for advocates.
