Dr. Samuel Cytryn graduated from Northwestern University with a bachelor’s degree in creative writing before attending medical school at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He completed his internal medicine training at New York University, where he also served as Chief Resident. He was Chief Fellow in medical oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He has a clinical and research interest in immune checkpoint blockade and targeted therapy in esophageal and gastric cancers. For his work, he received the Conquer Cancer American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Young Investigator Award and has first author works published in The Lancet Oncology and Journal of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network.
