Jordan D. Berlin, MD
Dr. Berlin is a medical oncologist who specializes in gastrointestinal (GI) malignancies and new drug development. As Clinical Director of the GI Oncology program at VICC, he directs the development and conduct of clinical trials for GI cancers at Vanderbilt. In this role as well as his role as co-Principal Investigator of the VICC GI SPORE (Specialized Project of Research Excellence) Grant, he helps to translate laboratory findings into clinical trials that hold promise for improving the outcomes of patients with GI cancers.
Dr. Berlin has been an active clinical researcher with over 100 papers, book chapters and editorials. He is a member of ASCO, ESMO, ECOG and ACP. He has served on program committees for ASCO, the ASCO/SSO/AGA/ASTRO sponsored Gastrointestinal Cancer Symposium and the World Congress on GI Cancers sponsored by ESMO. In 2008, he served as the overall Program Chair, for the ASCO/SSO/AGA/ASTRO sponsored Gastrointestinal Cancer Symposium in Orlando, Florida. In 2012, he served as the Education Committee Track Leader for GI non-colorectal cancers which includes the gastric cancer educational programs.
