Martin McCarter, MD

Dr. McCarter is a professor of surgery and the surgical director of the Esophageal and Gastric Multidisciplinary Cancer Clinic at the University Of Colorado School Of Medicine in Aurora, Colorado. He received his doctor of medicine from the University of Vermont and completed a fellowship in Surgical Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. His clinical interests focus on minimally invasive treatment of gastrointestinal tumors and complex abdominal operations. His research focuses on understanding the interaction between tumors and the patients’ immune response. He is actively involved in a variety of clinical and translational trials and has published widely on numerous cancer related topics.
